Meet Idido, a beautiful little coffee from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, that tastes almost like a cup of floral tea with a touch of honey.

This is one of those coffees that makes you slow down and pay attention. It's delicate, sweet, and wonderfully fragrant, with so many lovely flavors hiding in every sip.

Grown in the highlands of Yirgacheffe, Idido comes from a region famous for producing some of the world's most beautiful floral coffees. Here, smallholder farmers grow traditional Ethiopian coffee varieties, often on small family plots. The cool mountain climate helps the coffee cherries ripen slowly, developing the sweetness and complexity that make Ethiopian coffees so special.

What makes this particular coffee interesting is its Red Honey process. Despite the name, no actual honey is added! Instead, some of the coffee cherry's naturally sweet, sticky fruit layer is left on the beans during drying. This helps create a coffee with lovely sweetness, a fuller texture, and beautiful fruit and floral flavors.

The first thing you'll notice is the soft, sweet fragrance of orange blossom, followed by a gentle hibiscus note that reminds us of floral tea. Then comes a smooth, honey-like sweetness that lingers pleasantly after each sip. It's bright and refreshing without being too sharp, and sweet without feeling heavy.

What we especially love about Idido is how elegant and comforting it feels. It's not a loud or funky coffee. Instead, it's beautifully balanced, with little surprises that reveal themselves as the cup cools.
